Snacks and drinks

Frozen grapes

Spread seedless grapes on a cookie sheet and leave them in the freezer for at least 2 hours. These frosty delights are great on any cheese plate, and they make a refreshing treat perfect for cocktail hour or snack time in front of the TV.

Trail mix

Make your own trail mix using nuts, seeds, dried fruit and whole grains. It’s the perfect snack to restore energy levels after a workout.

Apple and peanut butter

Spread peanut butter on apple slices and enjoy. Delicious and nutritious!

Crazy for cottage cheese

Top a small bowl of cottage cheese with fruit (such as blueberries, or diced apples and pears), slivered almonds and a drizzle of honey. This snack will keep you satisfied for hours.

Smoothies

Because they’re easy to carry, smoothies are a great option for staying hydrated or getting an energy boost on the go. In a blender, combine milk or a fortified vegetable drink alternative with Greek yogurt (great source of protein) or kefir, half a banana, frozen mango chunks and ground flax seeds for a refreshing snack-time treat.

Dried fruit

Keep dried fruit in your desk at work to beat the mid-afternoon munchies. Apricots, cranberries, raisins, figs, apples and bananas are just a few of the choices your taste buds will thank you for.
